Dr. Semotiuk presents his research on the 3rd anniversary of Russian full-scale aggression of Ukraine

On the 3rd anniversary of Russian full-scale aggression of Ukraine Dr. Orest Semotiuk participated in two online conferences. The first conference Ukraine: towards the West. Culture, Values and Language was organized by the Faculty of Philosophy at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Dr.Semotiuk’s presentation Ukrainian Refugees in International and National Political Cartoons and Memes on Russian Full-scale Aggression: Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis was a part of the panel Images of War.

The second conference War Change Society (24.02.2025) was organized by Interdisciplinary Laboratory for the Study of Wars and Disasters and Institute of Journalism and International Relations UKEN (Krakow).

Dr. Semotiuk’s presentation Laughter to defeat the enemy: political caricature as visual testimony of armed conflicts sparked a lively discussion.
